Mission: To help nurture a child’s love for Jesus, love for others and love for learning.

Welcome

February, 2012

Dear Parents,

Registration for the 2012-2013 school year will take place February 13 - 29.  You can download the forms from the admissions page on the preschool website beginning February 13.  Registration is by mail only and your envelope must be postmarked by February 29 in order to receive priority registration.  Please mail your forms to the following address:  Stephanie Lentz, Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, 7663 Five Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH  45230.  Notification of placement will be e-mailed on March 14, 2012.

We look forward to seeing you at Open House in February!  This is a special evening for the whole family to learn more about their child’s experiences at preschool. Please plan to join us from 7-8 pm on Wednesday, February 8th for the 3-day program and 7-8 pm on Thursday, February 9th for the 1-day, 2-day and Kindergarten programs.

We have lots of fun indoor activities planned for February!  We will begin the month with Chapel time on February 1 and 3.  The Fruit of the Spirit for this month is “Kindness.”   Feel free to join us in the Big Room at 9:45 and 1:15.  Please consider including your child as you perform a random act of kindness for someone as a way to model this fruit.

Science days are sure to be “hair-raising” as we talk about static electricity on February 15 and 17.  Be sure to ask your child about this fun experiment.

February is dental health month and a local dentist Dr. Gennantonio will present a fun demonstration for the children on February 8 and 24 on the importance of taking care of their teeth.

As a reminder, when Forest Hills Schools are on a one hour delay, we begin at our regular time.  When they are on a two hour delay, our morning session will be canceled.  When they are closed, both the morning and afternoon sessions will be canceled.  Our website and the voice mail at the Preschool will always be updated to let you know of our status as well.

Stay warm and God bless,

Stephanie Lentz, Preschool Director
