MOPS is a positive and caring network designed to nurture mothers with children from birth through kindergarten.
Anderson Hills MOPS is about:
- Celebrating Motherhood
- Providing support and affirmation
- Making connections with other women
- Experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources
MOPS Meeting Details
MOPS meets the second Thursday of each month (September through May) from 9:45 to 11:45 at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church at 7515 Forest Road.
Each monthly meeting features a theme pertaining to motherhood, family, and personal and spiritual growth. Meetings include fellowship, guest speakers, small group discussion, outreach projects and more! They provide some much needed “me” time while developing friendships with other women in the same season of life.
It is our hope that Anderson Hills MOPS provides a warm, caring and accepting environment; build and strengthen friendships among women; provide support and encouragement in our role as mothers; and enrich members socially and spiritually. Through all of this we hope to prepare each mom so she can face the challenges of parenting, marriage, home, community and personal needs with the help of friends and Christ.
$55 for the year which includes the $24.95 annual fee to MOPS International. As part of your MOPS International membership, you will receive:

MOPS International Theme for 2016-2017:
Starry Eyed is…
Seeing the light in the darkness and choosing to live courageously in both.
It is opening our eyes to wonder and choosing hope over fear.
Starry Eyed is significant acts of kindness that send ripples of light into the world.
It is a choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life.
If you feel anxious and don’t know why…
If you are busy and distracted from the things you truly care about…
If you are restless for an unexpected encounter with God…
Then join us in MOPS 2016 – 2017!
In addition to the monthly MOPS Meeting, members are invited to attend MOPS CHAT on the 3rd Thursday of the month. MOPS Chat provides an informal atmosphere to develop deeper relationships, chat, do crafts, or just hang out and relax.

As mothers enter the school years, new challenges and issues arise, but the need for community and hope remains. For this reason we are starting a MOMSnext, a ministry to mothers of school-age kids. A MOMSnext group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.
MOMSNext will meet the third Tuesday of each month (September through May) from 9:45 to 11:45 at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church at 7515 Forest Road.
There will be breakfast, coffee, small groups, speakers, service projects, mom's night out, and free childcare.
