AHUMC “Water Wells” Campaign
Every Christmas, since 2008, Anderson Hills United Methodist Church raised money to build water wells in Zambia. More than 20 wells have been built so far. Once again this Christmas our offering will go to build more wells, providing clean drinking water to thousands of people. To donate go to:

The Life-Giving Water Fund provides wells for rural villages in Zambia. The people living in these villages desperately need local, reliable, sources of fresh water. Millions of people in Zambia don't have access to clean water. Women and children travel miles each morning to carry water from shallow pits or impure streams to provide water to satisfy their daily needs. During the frequent droughts these sources are non-existent.
At Anderson Hills UMC, we’ve decided that this is not ok. We’ve made this our problem, and we have committed ourselves to a partnership with the Life-Giving Water Fund to drill wells and provide clean water for the people of rural Zambia. Over the past three years, we have provided the funding to dig 20 wells, providing water for an estimated 45,000 people and saving the lives of over 700 children every year, who are especially prone to water-borne disease.
