Appalachia Service Project’s vision is that substandard housing in Central Appalachia will be eradicated and that everyone who comes into contact with this ministry will be transformed.  ASP is more than a building program—it’s a relationship ministry. Volunteers spend time interacting with the family they’ve been assigned to serve. Often they forge friendships that impact them for the rest of their lives, and learn lessons that enrich their faith and build character for the rest of their lives. For many, this experience is the first step towards a lifelong vocation of caring for and serving others.  For almost 50 years, they have made homes warmer, safer, and drier  for families and provided transformational service experiences for volunteers.  For over 30 years, our student ministry has been a part of this program, taking high school students to various parts of the Appalachian region for a week to repair and modernize homes for the people of that region.  This year we are participating the week of June 10-June 16.  Any student currently in grades 8-12 is invited to join us for this life-changing week.  The cost is $350.  Sign up at http://bit.ly/ASP2018 by December 10.  A $50 non-refundable deposit will be due at that time

We are again this year returning to the Crossings Camp at Jonathan Creek.  We will travel to beautiful Kentucky Lake in western KY for outdoor fun, Bible study, and meaningful worship.  The theme this year is based on  the Psalms- we are wires for worship. Our week this year will be June 30-July 5.  Any student grades 6-11 is invited to join us.  https://www.gocrossings.org/studentcamp2018/  The cost this year is $400.  Sign up at http://bit.ly/Crossings2018
